Product Research

Hello everyone,
I’ve two questions :
1- I found a product that has a good search volume and low competition but the average revenue when averaging the sales of all sellers is range between one to two thousand pound, so what do you think of sourcing such product . I’m afraid from this low revenue average , but I heared a youtuber who’s selling seven figure yearly his name Trevin Peterson, that he’s selling products that’s matching my selected product ?
2- If I found a good product but one of the competitors is Amazon, do you suggest to ge with this product or what ?
Thanks,

Sorry you lost me here…

the Youtuber is selling YOU, if he’s making 7 figures a year on Amazon do you really think he’s passing those secrets onto every tom dick and harry with an internet connection.

No every tom dick or harry that watches his videos is making his money

Ask Trevin Peterson for his supplier’s contacts details

Don’t base ANY business decisions on YouTube gurus, and if Amazon sell the product you are looking at, can you beat their price ? - as they will inevitably constantly undercut you.

“Here’s how to make £1,000,000 on Amazon in a month”

I wouldn’t even say those numbers are a lower revenue product, unless your also looking at highly competitive products which Amazon likely sell themselves and/or have competition with large amounts of reviews

You said that sellers were turning over 1/2k a month for this product, let’s be optimistic and say that’s £300 net profit per month, then you only have do that 4/5 times to make a living, so what is wrong with those numbers?

Is it because the youtube Guru told you could be making millions in a few months?

3 pieces of advice for you

  1. Never trust anyone called Trevin
  2. Never trust anyone who wears a cap back to front whilst offering business advice
  3. Never trust anyone trying to give you advice whilst standing infront of a very expensive sports car

Best of luck,

Unfortunately if you mention the word Youtube on this forum you’ll get blown to pieces… You weren’t to know and don’t worry, it happens all the time.

There are hundreds of these “guru’s” out there selling a dream that gets people tied in to a load of Chinese stock that they can’t shift and that is the problem, however there are some Youtubers that are knowledgeable in terms of the general AMZ platform.

Youtube can be a good place to learn if you follow the right people (i’ll wait for the barrage of abuse to come my way now). Yes arguably people that have profitable AMZ business won’t be selling their secrets and I don’t for one minute advise anyone to find product based on their “criteria”, you should always do your own due diligence… However, I sell just over £25k per month (granted not PL) and have grown over the last 18 months, I can honestly say that i’ve never seen a single Seller University video, i’ve learnt the majority from Youtube.

(I now look forward to people picking apart my comment and taking snippets out of context)

Whatever you choose remember even if you have found the next golden bullet it wont take long for other people to see that you are doing well selling a product and they can jump on board undercutting you.

I am still wet behind the ears here , but have been selling over on the bay for 21years
It’s amazing how many messages I get like…
“I’d like to do what you’re doing, can you tell me where you get your stock?”

I mean, jeez!
