You have been found to be related to an account

Hi,

I need some advice.

I have a separate Amazon USA account where I was selling wholesale products. This USA Amazon account was deactivated as Amazon asked for receipts to prove authenticity of a product I was selling. I was unable to prove to Amazon satisfaction so the account was deactivated.

I also manage an Amazon account here in the UK for another supplier (I provide this service via a limited company here in the UK via "consultancy services"). This account I manage was deactivated this week (with no warning) due to Amazon seeing it as "related" - due to me being the primary user on the account (but not a beneficiary).

There are several options for appeal and I wanted to check the correct option to choose please.

I am thinking the correct options to choose in this particular situation are as follows. The supplier I represent would be lodging the appeal:

Please read all the answer options and choose the most applicable one.

- I recognise the other account but it does not belong to me

Select one of the appropriate reasons listed below to substantiate your claim.

- Other

Amazon then says the following:

Provide us with supporting information to substantiate your claim. Include the following:

1. Signed affidavit explaining who owns the other account and their relationship to you. Specify what roles/access they have or have had in the past in relation to your Amazon account. The affidavit must be either notarised or signed in the presence of a lawyer, commissioner for oaths, justice of the peace or other legal professional included on an applicable register of legal professionals that can be accessed online. Provide information on how to access the register and the legal professional’s bar number (or similar).

2. Any official documentation to support your claim, such as a bank statement (in case you made a payment to the person who owns the other account).

If you cannot provide all of these documents, explain why in a separate document and upload below.

I was thinking of telling the supplier to draft a letter and get it witnessed by a lawyer (quoting lawyers credentials):

We are aware of the other Amazon account. We have engaged the account holder of this other account to manage our Amazon account on a "consultancy basis". This consultant is the primary account holder on our Amazon account. This is the only link and we can show on a separate bank statement that we pay them for these professional services under a business agreement.

Will this be sufficient to appeal the deactivation or there is a better way?

Kind Regards

Hello @Seller_wDt8js5E22bbg,

This is Abella from Amazon to assist you.

We greatly appreciate you reaching out with your inquiry. Rest assured, we are committed to putting forth our utmost efforts to assist you with your query.

I understand that you need help to reactivate your account as it has been deactivated.

Your account does share at least one significant point of information with this other account. That information connects their status and actions to your account.

First, you need to reactivate the related account by submitting an appeal. Please follow the instructions provided in the communication for that account.

Once the other account is reactivated, take a screenshot of its home page. Then, from your current account, submit an appeal by clicking on "Submit additional information" and confirm that the policy violations of the other account have been addressed by selecting "I recognize the other account."

If you need any further assistance, you can post here so that we or any of the sellers on forum can help you.

Regards,

Abella.
