Item swap scam?
Has anyone any information or help in regards to a “customer” having purchased an item, the item arriving with them, and then the customer claiming they have received a different item? We recently shipped a high value item (all bells and whistles, tracked & signed) to a customer, we have received images of the package we sent having been opened but a completely different item that we don’t sell placed beside it and no sign of the original item.
We believe the customer is trying to attempt to con us out of the original item using an A-Z claim.
Any tips or advice on making sure we don’t lose out on this? We believe we have to wait for an A-Z claim to be opened then fight it, its very seldom we have issues like this and would just like some help on getting it sorted as quickly as possible.
Thanks in advance

It sounds like a customer trying it on, but could also have been a courier issue. Which courier did you use, and did the packaging you used look in the photo like it could have come open, ripped, or split in transit?

Stuff can happen. We had a parcel arrive at an Artisanal Whiskey company in Carlisle that was supposed to be delivered to a customer just down the road from us because the depot had mis-labelled the incorrect consignment in the depot that was being returned. Most frustrating
