Hi Royal Mail Labels via Amazon
Hi
When despatching items and buying labels from Amazon does Tracked and Signed for labels still need to go to the post office for posting even though you akrwady have the tracking generated by automated service on Amazon.
Does that all make sense?
Thank you.

Yes they do if you want proof of postage

The only way that you will be able to buy RM labels for fully tracked services, is if your account is linked to Amazon.
As such, you need to print a manifest and drop off at a PO, sorting office etc. as you would with normal business mail through Click and drop etc.

If you are buying signed for labels on a pay as you go basis (no RM account) then you can just drop them in a post box as they will get to the customer and they will have tracking updated when the customer receives them
I have done this in the past when I am short on time but I do though prefer to have them go via the post office as you then get proof of posting and the tracking shows a post office acceptance scan which gives confidence to the buyer that the goods have been sent.
Obviously if you just drop them in a post box and they go missing you have no proof of posting so you have to write the order off if it doesn’t get delivered.
Tracked is different as I think they always need to go via a post office or sorting office to be handled correctly. Anyway Amazon doesn’t offer tracked if you are paying on a pay as you go basis.

Apologies if this has been asked before - i couldn’t find an answer - Anyone that used BUY SHIPPING for Letters / Large Letters on Amazon, and also has a Royal Mail OBA Account - is the amount deducted by Amazon , or do these appear on your OBA weekly / monthly bill?
Asking as i can see the charges on my Royal Mail bill, but do not know where to look on Amazon to see where / if they have taken the payment also
Thanks in advance!!
