Hi
I’ve just received an email (see below) from a person introducing himself as my dedicated Account Manager. The email looks genuine to me, yet I am so much positively surprised that I can hardly believe that!
Am I really going to talk to a person dedicated to me personally? A person known by his first and last name? Not a bot? Not ever-changing and non-careing anonymous customer support? Will I be getting real answers rather than just pre-redacted standard messages?
Does anybody else have such an account manager? May I believe that or is that just some kind of fraud attempt? Thanks in advance for your advice.

Good day,
I hope you are doing great! My name is [name] and I have been appointed as your dedicated Account Manager at Amazon UK. I have noticed that you have registered as a Professional seller but are yet to start your business journey on Amazon.
I was hoping to connect with you, please let me know when we can schedule a 10-minute call to support your business launching and scaling on Amazon. Please feel free to book time directly onto my calendar using the following link:

Alternatively, you can also choose to respond to this email directly and I will be happy to assist you.
I hope I can help you start your sales journey with Amazon!

The sceptic in me is shouting DON’T CLICK ON THE LINK!
But do check seller central for any messages/notifications.
I hope it’s genuine, but without seeing the message or where it came from, it’s hard to tell.
Whats the “actual” email address?
Hover over it and it should display.
It does actually sound ok, but even though it’s being represented as an account manager, if valid, it’s more than likely some kind of sales presentation.
ie. advertising, getting you onto SFP and so on.
Not a proper manager.
Personally wouldn’t touch it with a barge pole
Something to ponder…
If genuine why no phone number? We all have one.
Most likely a commission only based agent trying to push chargeable services.
As before, do not click on link, he will come back to you if really “managing” your account.
It is not really an account manager but yes it is a genuine team that deals with sellers who are not yet selling. When I started I was also approached. We had a scheduled phone call. Don’t expect miracles, it is a bit like talking to seller support. You tell the person what obstacles you are facing and he/she will try to help you to list your products.
I think this is basically an on-boarder. They’ll probably be available to assist any initial questions getting your account running, but I very much doubt they’ll be available beyond on-boarding unless you are doing serious multi-million revenue each month…
Essentially, they will try to sell you advertising and talk you into switching to PanEU.
Be careful not to click anything they send you and agree to absolutely nothing (at least not before asking the forum).
I had an account manager too - they were only interested in one thing - PAN European FBA. Other than that, they were no use whatsoever - every other thing I asked of them they just ignored. A lost opportunity for amazon to help develop their sellers’ business.
Sounds legitimate, Amazon is opening some new offices and they have lots of jobs available for people to support Amazon sellers. Do ask them to send you an e-mail with either a phone number or a notification via Seller Central.
Hi,
If you read the original approach carefully it says;
‘start your business journey on Amazon.’
This is to get you to register for Business supply , where you have to give credit to business customers and comply to other conditions.
We have had several approaches as well.
