RM 24 vs RM Tracked 24 availability - Strange Situation

Hello, we currently offer next day delivery to our customers if ordered before cut off. For some reason Amazon only gives RM 24 (CRL) as being fit for purpose (which is cheaper!) ie. we can use that for 24 hour delivery, but we cannot use tracked 24 for our next day orders!

It’s so weird and I don’t understand it. On the shipping options tracked 24 is just greyed out, and saying it doesn’t meet the order delivery criteria or similar. This seems ridiculous.

We are OBA account owners etc. etc. and want to move onto selling seller fulfilled prime, but the delivery promise is just killing us a bit, and we want to send tracked because its better for the customer. Please let me know if you can help or chat! Cheers, Elliott

To use TR25 or TR48 in Amazon buy shipping, it has to be linked to your RM account. Are the accounts linked?

Thanks @Aroha - indeed we have an RM business account OBA all linkedup. I am currently testing if its something to do with automated shipping settings being on and our posting location. I am currently testing an order to see if it comes through with all shipping options… will let you know if it works!

No we don’t use click and drop - we use amazon buy shipping which links through to our RM OBA account…

I totally agree and have posted this exact issue before.

Its some calculation of Amazon and your cutoff time. For some reason Amazon seem to think you can post RM24 later in the day than you can Tracked24 (if you have a collection like me they all collected at same time). I found trying to buy Tracked 24 within an hour before my cutoff time and Amazon would not allow it - but would allow RM24.

I have been told the solution is to change your cutoff time (although I have not tried it yet as I I stopped using SFP). So when you get the problem, go into your shipping settings and change the cutoff time to a lot later. They you can buy Tracked24 labels. After that to change the cutoff time back.

@Simply_NikNaks1 OP said it wasn’t available at all.

@Ehawk2012 If your accounts are linked properly, you will see this in: Buy Shipping preferences > carrier preferences > main.

I have had similar with Tracked 48 and Tracked 24

Its a coverage issue not a account link problem

Don’t know why Amazon hides the other TR over the crappy one ?

If it’s Premium Delivery rather than SPF, we always buy ours through Click & Drop.

@Ehawk2012 You should be using C&D. The integration is great and RM are migrating everyone to it. In fact I thought they already had. We were forced over from OBA/DMO a few years ago.

Same issue here, Tracked 24 vanished about a month ago and now we have to send CRL but as it’s not causing an issue I’m not too bothered about it. Perhaps it’s because I am dispatching from a more remote location (Devon)?

Why would you choose C&D over Buy Shipping? Using Buy Shipping comes with the extra protection from Amazon should you have any delivery related problems.

We’ve never had a single delivery issue with C&D where we have needed protection from Amazon. Using Buy Shipping doesn’t protect you from A-Z.

As I said, RM will be shutting down OBA and moving everyone to C&D anyway.
