Account Suspension - Section 3 Forged/Manipulated Invoices
Hello,
I recently had my account suspended for supplying documentation that appeared to be forged or manipulated in response to an inauthentic complaint on my account.
Back Story:
I sell a lot of used retro video game items and the complaint arose from a feedback I received (“its fake”) from a video game console that was sold. The console wasn’t fake but regardless but I recognize the onus is on me to prove that and amazon asked for documentation. I provided an invoice from a supplier (think retro retail gaming store). It was sent via word which I converted to PDF. I also added highlights to the supplier/buyer information and the row item, I also wrote in red the ASIN on the line of the item in question for clarification. This document was rejected for not adequate information. I had a second invoice from the supplier that was dated more recently with the same item on it - however the supplier moved and their business address updated so that was reflected in the invoice. I did not add any highlights or red text to this PDF and submitted as is. This was rejected and instantly after my account was deactivated.
Under my account health Amazon I have a “Reactive Account Option” where I can either acknowledge that I violated Amazon policy and uploaded documents from a new supplier (I have an authorized wholesale supplier for grocery and gourmet that I already work with and I think after this the used video games are not worth it and just going fully into that) or if I believe my account was deactivated in error where I can provide information on why it should be reversed and provide supporting documents.
I am not sure which option I should choose as I think that if the invoices weren’t accepted for the inauthentic complaint and were the reason for the suspension then providing them again won’t get me anywhere?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Suspension notice and reactivate your account page text posted below.

Also, It is worth noting the first invoice I submitted didn’t have the supplier website information, the second invoice I submitted was more recent and it did have this information on the invoice. Not sure if this could also be the reason for the flag? The invoices were about 2 months apart in date.

-
So you did manipulate it
-
When done electronically, usually Amazon also considers this manipulation
-
The retail store moved?
-
Because Amazon considers it as actually a receipt, since it was sold retail. Even if it says “invoice” on it, it won’t matter
This
NOT this … because it was not in error
That’s my opinion.

Hello @ChimeraCorp,
This is Wade from Amazon here to assist you today.
I’ve reviewed your post and understood that your concern is regarding inauthentic product.
It is seller’s responsibility to source, sell and fulfill only authentic products. If your invoices were acquired from a right supply chain then they must match invoice requirement criteria.
Please make sure the invoices are meeting the following criteria:
- These documents must reflect your sales for the past 365 days.
- Please provide your supplier’s company details, including company name, company phone number, company address, and website.
- For supplier verification, team may contact your supplier to verify the of these documents. so keep your supplier informed and validate all the supplier details before submitting the invoices.
- You can hide pricing information, but the rest of the file must be clearly visible. For our review, please highlight or circle the ASIN under review.
If any of the above mentioned requirements is missing from the invoice then it will not be termed as invalid.
If you’ve come to the conclusion that the products you bought came from inauthentic sources, and you also conclude your supplier and the invoices as inauthentic. Kindly submit detailed Plan of action.

Ok - Today I got my third invoice from my accepted gourmet and grocery supplier - I have submitted all three invoices to Amazon and acknowledged the violation. Waiting for their response with fingers crossed.

No luck so far - all of the invoices were rejected I assume - This was the response I got: You have not sent us sufficient information that we previously requested from you to address our concerns with your account. For privacy reasons, we do not provide details about our investigation methods.

I have not been able to yet get my account back, I am still working with Seller Performance and Abuse & Escalations team but have not successfully appealed. I have enlisted Oneida's services and he has been very helpful in drafting appeals but we have submitted probably around 8-9 now and have not gotten approved.
I have found a new supplier and verified that they are selling legitimate products so now I am waiting for their invoices to draft a new appeal and send to Amazon, hoping this will help me get my account back. Otherwise, I fear if these invoices don't work, there won't be much hope.
