VAT Calculation Service
I’m trying to register for the VAT Calculation Service, but when I input my Business registration number, Amazon doesn’t recognise it, it says “Invalid number” (my business is registered in Scotland with an SC… company number). Any ideas?

I presume that you are VAT registered? Isn’t that the number they are asking for, not the business reg number?

The vat calculation service allows you to show your vat exclusive pricing to business customers, provide vat invoices etc, all of which do not apply if you are not vat registered.
You do not need to be vat registered to sell on Amazon, and whether registering early would be of benefit to you or your business is a discussion for an accountant who knows your business and circumstances

You would only register for VCS IF you are VAT registered, and why would you do it just yet if your turnover is below the threshold, UNLESS you are not resident in UK and want to store goods here for UK FBA, then it is a requirement.
Before registering for VAT you need to understand the accounting requirements and quarterly returns etc. - most would only do it when reaching the £85K turnover threshold.
