Heads up here with anyone that uses Royal Mail Click & Drop for their business.
There has been a rule change that they have not conveyed to their Customers which has negative consequences for any seller using their system. If your items are collected on a daily basis like ours, collections are no longer proof of receipt. As users will know, parcels are collected in mail sacks and are not individually scanned on site (unlike for example, DPD).
In the past if items are not scanned through the network and do not reach their intended destination, Royal Mail would usually pay compensation upon claim. This is no longer the case. You will get nothing.
Royal Mail are washing their hands of any packages that they fail to scan, so essentially you are sending items at your own risk. We would strongly advise anyone using this system to look for alternatives or use the Post Office, where they is proof of receipt. Unless there is a rethink from their management regarding this decision, the Click & Drop Collections as a business is finished. It's done.
