well, gone onto this new system and its amazing how long they intend to hold onto my money.
firstly i seem to have lost daily disbursements so when the amounts finally get cleared (normal 2nd class so just over a week plus 7 days) i have to wait in some cases for another fortnight for the fortnightly payout.
plus the 4 to 5 days the bank transfer takes!
also although the individual transaction for each order appears on the list within 30 minutes, its taking a further 2 days to update the deferred balance!
what a con!

I agree with you when Ebay can pay money for items sold at 8pm at night the next morning why Amazon long wait.
I don';t do ETSY but i'm told its by end of next banking day OnBuy I do not know a lot of about but others say as it's Paypal its instant into Paypal account then you got move it your own bank aocount 1-2 days.
Amazon use the old fashion much slower BACS Payment file rather than faster payments so they are way behind Industry standard, and takes 5-7 days
Your simply enriching their coffers of money to play around in the Investment markets
You will be able to disburse daily once you get through the initial period provided there are funds there.
eBay also pays at the weekend and bank holidays! And when I disburse from eBay, I just have time to check my bank account and the money is already there.
Etsy introduced a partial hold system for newer sellers, it was released on delivery confirmation or after 7? days. They are remarkably quick, as are Ebay, who used to be interminably slow back in the day.
The other thing is that they just send it out, you don't have to apply for it each day.
I've no idea if they do or they don't and where the money actually is but it is supposed to be against the law for a company to profit on funds held in the UK.
This is a very crippling and socially irresponsible policy. I never normally comment on fees or ever growing several multiple payments we make to use of this platform. But this payment policy is very wrong. Since I earn very little, I will sign in to suffer. I feel sorry for businesses who dispatch large amounts of parcels and not get paid for x number of days.
I can't see any reason for the long payout delays. Some other platforms do have a small delay but shorten the waiting time the more the account history builds and the better the account status. Amazon clearly want to drag out paying funds as long as possible.
Its a horrifically bad policy for sellers, great for Amazon themselves, but very bad for all small sellers
I have had DD+7 from day 1 and I have found it quite difficult at times. The worst is when you go from a quiet period to a busy period, therefore you have limited amount in reserve and you need to buy postage, more stock and the rest. I had to rely on loans to be able to restock, when in actual fact I had enough money for everything in reserve but I couldn't touch it. What also helped me is income coming from other sources from eBay to my own website, but it's a struggle to keep everything going when it gets busy.
I read somewhere that new sellers coped well with DD+7 and therefore it could be introduced to everyone else. I am still here because I am determined (or stubborn), but I believe lots of this stress is unnecessary. I am sure that lots of new sellers had to drop out because of this.
Unfortunately, it is done amongst other things (besides the millions in extra interest) to encourage you to take a business loan from one of Amazon's connected businesses (so they can make billions more in interest from loaning you your own money, held in reserve). If they paid you straight away, very few people would need these business loans!
