Amazon not adding VAT on Postage Refunds

Just noticed a spate of postage refunds where Amazon has not added the VAT element to the amount retained, simply leaving it as £2.79.

Royal Mail Tracked 48 Return - £2.79 + VAT = £3.35.

(Well, that's another can of worms, as in the past the amount credited was £3.34 but we are invoiced £3.35 by Royal Mail Amazon).

This has been correctly applied in the past and only seems to have been happening since beginning of October. Anyone else noticed this?

Maybe this will be resolved in the master monthly invoice

Im wondering - do you also have Royal Mail linked to your account?

If so - Do Royal Mail bill the Amazon tracked returns through OBA or is it separate with the invoice in the seller central tax library being the one and only invoice?

Can any moderators offer an explanation please? VAT being withheld by Amazon on shipping label reimbursements.

Hello @Seller_SA3YifGgwUMKG,

I'm Sarah with Amazon.

Do you have a case ID to share?

Kind regards,

Sarah.
