Seller fulfilled prime delivery times?
Hi,
All too often I see Seller Fulfilled Prime listings where if you add the item to Basket & Checkout the delivery time is 2 days, often even more - 3-5 days.
Any idea how these sellers can do something like that especially since they have a Prime badge? I thought if you were part of seller fulfilled prime you had to abide to very strict delivery times.
Any input on the matter is welcome.

Depends on the time of day and on which day the customer purchased the item from a SFP seller. SFP you have to purchase shipping through Amazon so again it depends when the mandatory courier can collect the parcel from the seller.
Shame Amazon did not issue SFP badges to those sellers who constantly hit targets I know our delivery service is much quicker than SFP and also 80% of amazons own deliveries.

Amazon intentionally show longer delivery times for SFP than their own prime service. However they do still expect the seller to deliver to Prime customers the next day. So on our listings if you bought over the weekend it would show Wednesday for prime delivery but our metrics will be hit if the order isn’t delivered on Tuesday.

prime members should get next working day delivery (2 day at this time of year) non prime members get offered a 3-5 day standard service as they have not paid for prime membership.

They will be SFP sellers who have chosen royal mail as their courier. RM couldn’t meet the 1 day when SFP launched on RM even for tracked 24 so amazon allow the extra day. You still have to dispatch all orders upto 2pm same day. it just sets the expectation of the customer due to RM issues.
