Amazon FBA business Sales and Removing VAT?
Amazon seems to be making sales to businesses via FBA with our stock and removing VAT. The sales location is mainland spain. Delivery address is a flat or apartment.
However when looking at the delivery address, there is no business name, nor is any VAT number or business details supplied for our accounting.
I have asked amazon to remove B2B Sales from our account, but they say i am not registered.
How do we account for these sales.
I fear now i must pay VAT on the already 20% off price and hence leading to an even greater loss. HMRC would expect a vat free sale to Europe to at least show a business name, if not a VAT number or similar.

Does the order only show a name of a person? That could be a VAT registered company as well in Spain, an autónomo. I do not know the English law but acc to Spanish and Swedish (where we have and have had registered companies) and I assume it is the same in all EU: you need the VAT number and you need to verify it with VIES, The verification needs to be stored. That means the customer needs to supply their Spanish NIF for your records, not Amazon’s.
The automatic invoicing system, have you activated it? If so, somewhere those invoices must be seen for your records and the VAT No should be seen on that. Otherwise Amazon cannot deduct the VAT.
