Unaddressed policy violations

Hi been contacted by Amazon today regarding unaddressed policy violations on my seller account there are 13 in total. 5 suspected intellectual property violations 7 Food and Product Safety Issues and 1 Restricted Product Policy Violation.

These have been lying on my account in some cases for months. I have deleted all listings i do not wish to appeal as i am not interested in selling any of these items.

What then does Amazon want me to do to show i am addressing these issues beyond deleting the listings from my catalogue ?

Please can somebody help im totally confused

These can usually be ignored, they are triggered by an automated system that indicates you have listed the product incorrectly (usually by using a brand name in the title that doesn’t match the “brand” field), it is nearly impossible to resolve them if you have deleted the item from your inventory. However you should at least submit a case for each one to try to resolve each issue.

These are probably what triggered the warning, you can get a suspension for even having 1 single safety issue on your account that hasn’t been successfully resolved. You will need to appeal each one individually, usually they will be asking for documentation to prove safety and/or materials used (or ingredients if it’s an actual food item), if you cannot provide such documentation then an appeal along the lines of:

Here’s what happened
This is the reason I cannot provide documentation
Here’s what I’ve done to ensure that all my other products will have said documentation available

As per the above, you need to submit an appeal, either providing proof that the product is not restricted or else explaining why you listed it anyway, if you use “I wasn’t aware it was restricted” as an excuse, you will need to provide evidence that you now understand which policy you broke (a link to the correct policy and quote the specific section that applies)

If you receive a policy violation of any kind, by deleting the listing Amazon accepts this as acceptance that you have done something wrong (because otherwise you would appeal to have the listing reinstated), in some cases it will seem like the most logical thing to do, such as when you no longer stock that item, however do not delete the listing unless you believe Amazon are completely correct in blocking it.

Assuming you do go with the “sorry I messed up, here’s what happened” appeals then it’s worth mentioning that you immediately deleted the item from your inventory as this IS the “correct” thing to do when the item is genuinely against Amazon’s policies.

If you say what the items and violations are then someone should be able to give you a better explanation as to how to appeal them.
