Closing accounts
discussion. my husband had several accounts under his name or his company's. Unfortunately he doesn't have access to them as he doesn't have the same number associated to some, and his access was restricted to the rest. He is trying to open a new account but they asked him to close any accounts under his name. Is there a customer service account or email that can help us with closing these accounts?!

You have to reactivate an account before you can properly close it. Amazon will not grant you a new one, and if you reactivated the old one, why would you need to? It is a circular issue. It is surprising he was allowed multiple accounts if he was getting deactivated.

A suspended account cannot be closed. He has to fix these accounts and properly delete them afterwards.
If he hasn't access or restricted access he is probably not the one who created these accounts and therefore he cannot fix and close them. So, there is no chance that he can sell on Amazon.
Don't try to create an account to your name. Since you probably use the same Wifi like your husband, the system would immediately suspend also your new account.

Hello @Seller_0nfs2CHAPJnwG
Thank you for the information provided regarding the closing of your husband's former accounts. I understand that he has had issues with accessing them. We would encourage him to contact our login support at 888-280-4331 or attempt the 'forgot password' to attempt to recover the accounts.
As mentioned by @Seller_kNAboD6kRgVt7and @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iAC, if the main concern is the accounts being in an inactive status, then you will need to resolve the issues on the accounts before you may take any closing action. Please continue to refer to this thread with any future questions or updates you have on this situation.
Best,
Atlas
