VAT registration for new business
Hello all,
I am having trouble gaining a VAT exemption for our new startup. Of course we will be nowhere near the £85,000 threshold in the next 12 months, but it seems Amazon is forcing us to become VAT registered before we can confirm our first FBA shipment to UK. I have contacted Amazon and provided a Certificate of Incorporation.
I am a completely new seller to Amazon, registered as a LTD company in the UK. I reside in the UK and am a British Citizen. I will be selling only in the UK and my stock will be shipped from China to be held in Amazon facilities in the UK only.
Does anyone else have any experience of this?

Do any of your beneficial owners live overseas? Does your company only have a virtual address in UK?
