Responding to customer questions - Can't respond as the seller

Responding to customer questions - Can't respond as the seller

Hi all, wonder if you could assist with a problem I’m having responding to customer questions and comments on a listing.

It seems when I try and post a reply it defaults to my buyer name and not my seller name and won’t allow me to change it.

I have tried to log out as a buyer but it also logs me out as a seller too, same when logging in.

Any idea where I’m going wrong.

Hi Monty,

Not sure if this might be correct (or be of help at all) but did you try to access (and respond to) the customer questions through the e-mail sent by “Amazon Answers”? I always do this when customers ask something on the listings I sell [provided AMZ notifies me by sending the already mentioned e-mail]. Never had any problem replying with my seller name, so far.

Please note that as a seller, you have no option to respond to Product Reviews left on listings under your seller handle.

Any comments will be published under your buyer reviewer profile. This has always been the case.

However, if you receive a Q&A question, your seller name will be displayed when posting a response.

Normally, you should receive an e-mail alert over every Q&A question posted under products which you are selling with a link taking you directly to the response form.
