First Time listing

Hi I get the following message when I am doing my listing.
“When multiple sellers sell the same product through a single detail page, we combine and present the best product data to ensure customers get the best experience.”

Please can I know why?
Thanks

Because everyone selling EXACTLY the same product has to list their stock under the same page (catalogue entry) on Amazon. This is not like eBay where you get your own page for each of your own products. On Amazon you have to share the listing with others. Even if you create the listing, it is no longer “yours” but Amazon’s

And you should not normally need to create your own listing. Unless you are literally making them yourself, your products will almost certainly be on the catalogue already - it is huge, over 120 million products. Does your product have a barcode (usually a 13-digit EAN)? If so, search the catalogue for it and if you are absolutely sure that your product is the same, add your offer to it

But before you go any further, work through Seller University - link at the bottom of your seller page. It will tell you all you need to know about listing and selling on here

This is also another way of saying that any changes or additions you make (descriptions/bullet points etc) may not be shown if Amazon believe the current contribution showing on the Product Detail Page (from another seller) is better or more appropriate.
