All my orders are being returned from Belgium
Hi
I am getting all my parcels sent by Royal Mail to Belgium returned to me marked
‘‘Duties/Vat payment Notice expired’’
Does this mean Amazon’s ISOS number has expired and they need a new one?
I queried this with Amazon Customer Services and they answered a question I did not ask.

It can either mean that some customs information isn’t being provided or is being provided incorrectly, that Belgium has restrictions on the item type, a failure of the Royal Mail system to convey the customs info, or a few other things.
We won’t be able to say for sure without other information.
What products are they?
What HS code are you supplying?
How are you buying the postage?
Do you have an EORI number?
Have you checked to see if any were business buyers?
Are you putting a CN22 on the parcel?
What were the values of the orders?

Hi
Thanks for responding.
They are all books
HS code 490191
I am buying the postage over the counter and the post office is entering the IOSS number as it is sent.
There is an IOSS label on the parcels
CN22s are on the parcel.
I do have an EORI number but there is no where on the CN22 to enter it.
The books are all valued between £20 - £30.
I sell lots to Belgium
I have never had this problem before this month

We had the same with both Belgium and Holland. We’ve stopped selling MFN to both countries.

You raise an interesting point. If you are using the IOSS how will it be reclaimed on returns? By the way who’s your courier?

We stopped shipping to Belgium several months ago as we had a lot of issues with both Royal Mail and DPD with many parcels returned, we could never really figure out what was happening so just took it off our list of countries we ship to

I have the same problem with 2 order from Belgium.
Next time I used DPD and no have problem with them, for Belgium, France and Holland.
The price is the same I thing or quite higher, but NO problem with DPD

If multiple people have started having problems with Belgium, then it could be that some of their requirements have changed recently.
There were RM notices a while ago about countries making the 8 or 10 digit Tarric codes mandatory, as opposed to the 6, so I would think it’s related to that but can’t say for sure.
I do know that you should be supplying your EORI number with the pre advice, though enough people who’ve had no problems have been surprised to find that out that I doubt it’s the problem.

I believe all of this is now done electronically , so anything hand written is ignored .
I use click and drop and everything is imprinted /auto filled and so far no issues
