Brand New to the Scene!
hey all,
hopefully a lot of people see this, however. just writing as a new seller who literally just made an account and got verified as a individual seller.
one of the questions i had was regarding being an sole seller, would this cause a potential future problem? also since I’m from the UK I don’t want any problems with the big bad tax man (HMRC) any quick links or advice regarding that?
The other question i had was to do with my aims of finding suppliers (wherever they may be) and the the requirements amazon has. i already read a potential invoice or receipts may be asked, is that the only thing i should be looking out for or are there more restrictions?
Thats all i had to say, thank you guys and wish me luck

If you have registered as an individual that means you are not registered as a business and therefore can only sell off your own second hand used goods ie books, Cds etc
If you wish to buy and sell goods for a profit you need to register with HMRC as a sole trader and change your legal entity on amazon to a business

That is your first mistake.
The Individual Seller Account is NOT the same as Sole-trader. You need to have a BUSINESS Seller Account (and that is not the same as Professional).
As Little_Shop says, before you do anything else on Amazon you need to register with HMRC as self-employed sole trader - quick and easy to do online.
Then wait to get your UTR through the post, which you will need to change the legal entity of your account to a Business Seller Account.
While you’re waiting, read Seller University - link at bottom of your seller homepage, and do not trust any Youtube guru videos !
