Image will not update - system error

Hi.

I have an old image which refuses to update. It was a mock up image used while my photography and info-graphics were being done. I talked with support and they gave me the response in the attached image - "system error - sometimes the previously submitted product data is retained. Delete product listing and make new with same SKU - and your inventory will be fine"

I've had so many problems trying to get this first product listed already that I'm now scared to do anything in the system, and I'm not convinced with the support, honestly.

Has anyone done this before? Was your existing inventory affected in any way?
