How do I get Amazon to refund my £30

It’s not a lot of money, but it’s what Amazon has taken from my bank account without any authorisation from me.

I tried to see if I could sell a set of four ink cartridges through Amazon but gave up in disgust at the complex web pages where there was little explanation of the meaning of various terms.

It appears that I have now been registered as a Seller, when I have nothing to sell. eBay was the solution to that pack of ink cartridges.

I don’t want to be a seller and I want the £30.00 back. Anyone know how to get someone at Amazon to listen?

Hi Adrian
You have signed up for a professional seller account you can downgrade to a basic individual account (no monthly fees)
Just go into Seller Central ( top right) Settings > Account Info and change from professional to individual.
At this stage you can still request a refund from seller support as you haven’t sold anything
Explain your professional plan was created in error. Make sure your card details are correct so they can refund you.

Hope this helps

Thank you Tracey. That is very helpful. I have downgraded my account from professional to individual, so where do I go next to request a refund in the manner you have explained?

Kind regards,

Adrian

Thanks again Tracey. I presume you mean me to put that message in the “Tell us how we can help” box. Is that right, because nothing seems to happen when I click on “Get Help” at the end?

Kind regards,

Adrian

Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Why is such a simple matter so difficult? I work with IT all day and have never had as much difficulty as this…

Thanks Tracey. I think I have opened a new case.
