New UK Seller Enrolled into 10 Markets with US as default

Hi!

I registered for a professional seller account a little over a year ago, I’m yet to start selling but I’m finally close to listing my first product.

Going through my account settings today, I discovered that I have been automatically enrolled into 10 markets that includes Japan and my default market is US instead of UK, I don’t remember chosing these settings.

Furthermore, I looked at my bank statement and discovered that amazon has been billing me £41.94 monthly since I registered my account a year ago.

I have set both Japan and US to inactive using the “Going on vacation” functionality, I’m not sure this will stop Amazon from billing me £41.94 monthly, but I don’t know what else to do.

What I want is to pay the standard subscription fee of £25 for a UK professional selling plan and have UK as my default market when I log into my seller account.

I can’t find a way to communicate with seller’s support UK being searching all day, I’m not even sure there is such a thing. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction to get help. What I don’t want is to get suspended, not now.

You have signed up to the global account not the UK/EU account. Seller Support in UK can’t therefore help you - you need to raise a case through Amazon.com and tell them you want the Uk only account. I don’t think you will get a refund after not noticing for a year though - and unused accounts are usually automatically suspended to avoid hackers using them fraudulently.

There’s no such thing as a “professional seller account”. Are you sure you understand the difference between an account and a selling plan? They are two quite separate things.

To stop Amazon deducting your monthly subscription fees, you need to downgrade your selling plan(s) on all the global channels to which you signed up but no longer want to use. It might be possible to get a refund on previously deducted fees provided you haven’t sold anything in the meantime, but you may have let the situation ride for too long now.

I’m not sure how you apply for a refund but other sellers will know.
