Incorrect Delivery Evri Claim

Hi

We fulfilled an order using an Evri label purchased through Buy Shipping. Unfortunately, Evri delivered the parcel to the wrong door number, as clearly seen in the Proof of Delivery (POD). Additionally, the parcel was left outside unattended and has subsequently gone missing.

I have been trying to reach Evri for the past six days without success. The chatbot only takes messages without providing any solutions, and the contact number is automated and unhelpful.

The order is valued at over £100. I need advice on how to escalate this issue and successfully claim compensation from Evri. I am waiting for their response so I can refund the customer

Not good news I'm afraid - as you bought through Amazon then Evri wont respond to you as the sender. Also it would only be covered for £20 max when bought via Amazon.

I would also refund the customer sooner rather than later at the risk they open an A-Z claim which I imagine you would lose.

If you know the order went to the wrong house - I wold refund the customer and then try to claim via Evri - as above, if you just purchased via Buy Shipping its likely only covered for up to £20.

For what its worth - the guidance for Buy Shipping parcels lost by Evri is here though I don't think it actually works. Nice little con amazon and Evri (and Royal Mail) have put together!

We have an account with EVRi, a named account manager, and a claims procedure with them that actually works.

In your situation we would require a signed Denial of Receipt letter (we accept a photo of the pro forma letter that we send them, once they've printed out and signed it) which we submit.

We have had all our claims processed successfully, with a refund value capped at £20. It is definitely worth opening an account.
