Using UPS for Pallet collection, please help?

Hi All,

We are going to ship our first Pallet to Amazon FBA with UPS (The PCP for Amazon) and we have a few questions, maybe some of you experienced people in this field can help us?

1- The Pallet delivery has been booked and we have received an email from amazon confirming carrier etc. But no one called or emailed, and no one showed up on the pick up date now a day later after the confirmed pick up date and still no communication. Amazon told us to wait for the carried to contact us. Is this normal. We have booked this a week ago.

2- Our Pallet contains actual items, pretty much ready to be send to clients, as they are oversized items, so we have selected 1 box per pallet and attached the box label next to pallet label. I really hope we did that right?

3- Additional Pallet labels, apparently Amazon wants us to label each pallet additionally ourselves to say Pallet # … of … and attach it to top right, we have just wrote that and some additional details like company name etc. and attached it. We are not sure this has to be templated or not from Amazon?

4- Bill of Lading, our presumption is that because we have selected Amazon PCP for pallet delivery, Amazon will pass the info to UPS and they will create this for us?

5- Appointment for Delivery. Again because we have selected Amazon PCP, looks like the carried will book appointment for us?

6- Black Stretch Wrap - We used Black stretch to wrap the pallet as there are items of value in there and we don’t want it to be visible. We have checked forums and most of the people are using black film, we hope that is ok?

7- We have seen people talking as much as 8 weeks for Pallet deliveries to check in, is that correct, can anyone please let us know the average times of pallet delivery stock to become available in the seller account?

Phew, for all those who think about pallet deliveries and decided not to do it because of lot of unknowns. I hope this thread can shed some light to them too.

We will post our experience here along the way.

Kind Regards to all…

Did you actually schedule this on the ups website? If not then its not booked and you need to schedule collection this way.

As long as each item has a barcode or FNSKU it will be fine providing they are within the weight and size limit I just thought I would mention this when you mentioned oversize incase you have not checked the item size weights and limits for fba.

I don’t send pallets but when you booked the shipment via the amazon platform it should have given you X amount of labels which would have said 1 of 3 etc. To use

Again pallets ain’t my thing but the BOL should be present for the carrier so would presume this would be available when creating the shipment on the amazon platform.

As mentioned above this will only occur if you schedule it on ups site.

If you check the prep guidelines I think you will likely find it needs to be clear, if you send a pallet in which does not meet requirements its likely to be rejected either before unloading or after, if after you will likely wait a length of time before its returned.

Time varies on different things such as location, weights etc usually anything from 1-3 weeks seems to be the norm at moment
