Why am i being charged?

Its only a small charge, but why on earth are Amazon charging me fees when I havent sold anything or even had my account verified yet!?

Because they do is the quick answer. You can downgrade your account from professional to individual to prevent further charges and open a case for a refund as you haven’t been able to sell.

I am facing similar issue.
I asked Amazon to collect 5 boxes from my house for FBA in Aug-21.
They charged me £17.28 for that but they still haven’t turned up yet.
And when I opened a case, they refused to refund it.
In other words, they charged me but never gave me the service.
