Shipping to Business Customers in EU - How do I get their EORI number without having to contact them?
I’ve seen this asked a couple of times but no answer as yet.
An EU based business customer has purchased from us (shipping from UK) and in order to ship this across the border, we need their EORI number. Unfortunately, Amazon don’t seem to provide this, or at least I can’t see that they do. Therefore, we are left with needing to contact the customer directly. This is of course extra steps which isn’t exactly efficient or ideal for seller or customer but is also made extremely difficult when neither party speaks the same language.
Is there a way to get this number from Amazon? Or alternatively, has anyone found a different solution?
I appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

There seems to be no solution to this.
We have tried to explain to Amazon that if we get an order from a business customer in Germany we MUST have the customer EORI number to get it through customs.
Amazon says “contact the customer”. If we do not hear back from the customer within 24 hours the order gets flagged as late and hits our metrics, ditto if we cancel.
Many of our German business customers either do not have an EORI or don’t know what an EORI number is. Many of the others do not reply to our email request for the information. It is a hopeless situation.
Amazon should make it mandatory for business customers to have the EORI number on their Amazon accounts. This really is an urgent situation that needs sorting out.
