SIZENAME and SIZE: What's the Difference?

Working on a flat file and spotted SIZE and SIZENAME options in the variations. Does anyone know the difference between the two?

I asked this question many years ago. Nobody knows. But it looks like there are different templates to display listings. I would suggest to use SizeName as it is newer version. There is the same with Size-color and Sizename- colourName. In my listings, I use SizeName-ColorName

Would suggest, Size would be L, XL etc Size name Large, Extra Large.

What category and what are the options?
I would say SIZENAME would be verbal sizes "Large, Small" etc and SIZE would be the actual dimensions 10cm, 15cm etc.
But I can appreciate how wildly this would vary across categories.
