Using Social Media Influencers
Just wondering if anyone uses influencers for own brand products is able to offer any advice on how to go about this and what commission influencers expect?
Thanks!

If you value your account you will not contemplate ‘buying’ reviews.

I use influencers for promoting my website and products.
How effective it will be depends on what your products are and if they are suitable for the niche the influencer is involved in.
I only stick to people with less than 25,000 followers because of cost.
Once you hit people with 50,000 or more they tend to have agents who maximise income. Social media influencers who are just starting out and still have quite a small following also tend to have a tighter community feel.
If you’re looking at youtube you could look at Youtube networks who will negotiate sponsorship deals for members for their networks or approach the Youtubers directly.
Be aware that the mega influencers of 1 million or more followers are not cheap.
For example a sponsored post recommending a microphone on a musician with 25,000 followers you could cost you as little as £100 art the other end of the scale is someone like 5 year old Youtuber claire crosby who has 1.5 million followers. She did a Disney promotional post by dressing up as all the disney princesses and singing a medley of Disney songs. Disney gave her a substantial expense account at their stores to buy all the costumes, paid for her and her family to go to Disneyland for the weekend to film the video and paid a substantial (I here it was well into 5 figures) fee.
It’s not cheap as all the major brands are now moving into influencer marketing. But if you find a good fit and aim for the 10,000 - 50,000 follower market then you can still get reasonably good opportunities.
