Buyer refunded without return being handed to hermes

The buyer bought items worth 204 pounds. Opened a return request claiming item no longer needed and the return was auto approved.I waited for the items for around 3 weeks but never got the return.Buyer opened a A to Z claim stating item has been returned to the seller and was immediately refunded. The hermes return tracking shows that the item is still not handed to them and it seems only label has been created however on amazon return page it shows item picked up by courier.i immediately appealed on the claim providing all the details and tracking of hermes but my appeal has been rejected.
on chatting with customer service they tell me i need to raise the issue with hermes but i dont find email or phone number to raise the issue.it only has automated chatbox which does not have option to raise a complain of my kind.
what should i do? very dissapointed…would appreciate if anyone can suggest how to go ahead on this.thanks.

As soon as the label is created it shows “Carrier picked up the package” even though it hasn’t been picked up. This is a system glitch.

You need to appeal the A-Z.

Hermes won’t help because if it’s never been sent they haven’t got it.

As above, try appealing again and it should at least change to amazon funded

I am a little confused with the returns policy. The policy says the seller should not refund the buyer until the order is returned. Many have been provided with a prepaid return and not returned the order, whilst others have returned the order not returned the order within the estimate returns period window.
