Scammers on the increase
Not sure if you are having the same problem?
Not received my items, when I check on track and trace the postman has posted it as delivered, some are saying oh yeah my girlfriend took it in, others no I haven’t when clearly the postman clearly scans the 2d barcode before posting.
Also customers checking the 2d tracking number and if the postman hasn’t scanned when posting it doesn’t show delivered on Royal Mail track and trace, lazy postman are costing me.

We used to send items with our royal mail account (no 2d barcodes or tracking) and hardly had any INR.
For the last 6 months we have been using click and drop (2d barcode) and since then we’ve had at least 5-10 a week saying ‘item not received please refund’. When checking the tracking they have all been delivered so we respond the info and they either never get back or we get ‘sorry emailed wrong seller’ etc
Then something interesting happened last week - we had an email from a buyer saying that she had received her order early and sending her thanks - DESPITE the email she received from Amazon.
I asked her to elaborate and it seems that Amazon are emailing buyers (where the item is sent using standard Royal Mail) a week or so after the item is despatched saying ‘sorry your order is running late / has not been delivered’
So its actually Amazon sending these uneccessary emails to customers that prompts ‘chancers’ rathers than scammers into trying it on

I feel your pain…Looking at our initial first 4 weeks of click and drop, 11% of our parcels were not scanned, that goes for 2D bar codes and the ones with the signed for option.
Now that’s on about 200 items of mail so if you protract that 11% forward to the whole network that’s an eye-watering amount of post being delivered without being scanned. Even if you round it down a point it’s still unacceptable.
When our RM rep visited after our first month of C&D you could see by his expression he was surprised at the spreadsheet showing the facts, all he could say is each depot shows figures roundabout 98-99%. But our figures aren’t specific to hot spot areas, they’re countrywide.
So the promise C&D should immediately reduce loss seems a little premature.

We haven’t had any problems with Royal Mail barcodes. Yes, we’ve had plenty of buyers claim their item hadn’t arrived but when we check the delivery confirmation and tell the buyer that it was delivered on this date at such and such time, we very rarely here anything else from the buyer. We have our suspicions that the majority of these buyers are chancers as they haven’t had to sign for delivery.
However, a small minority do get back to us to say the item was left with a neighbour but they didn’t get a missed delivery card from the postman. This is a bigger problem for us than barcodes not being scanned. From a personal point of view this happens a lot at home as I quite often have to knock a number of doors before locating my parcels because of a lack of a calling card.

Unfortunately, the only solution is shipping everything fully tracked and with a signature confirmation of delivery.
Otherwise, any potential A-Z claim will be most likely lost or funded by Amazon, in the better case.

Same here, pay extra for the 2D barcode which the posties don’t bother to scan. I noticed also that a lot of these claims come from people in flats. I had 3 just on Friday, all in flats and none had been scanned.
Do any of you good people know if BPR (Royal Mail Signed For) has tracking? It is more expensive than 2D CRL but way cheaper than Tracked 24 / 48. And it should get a signature.

Yes recently I’ve been getting return request from some buyers with similar names and from the same town/post code , this buyers bought item sold as ex-displayed, they bought the item and then return their damage item back, asking for a refund, this has been happing continuously recently, the reason I’m suspecting as a scam was another buyer bought item from me requested for return, when the item return it has eBay return label in the package, I ask the buyer that how come eBay label in the parcel, he said he bought the item from me and send it to a buyer, which doesn’t make sense, when I start questioning him he said I’m accusing of fraud so he’s going to give me negative feedback.
I have noticed that sellers on eBay buying from amazon and then returning their damage item to the sellers on amazon they know that amazon is strict on return and refund,

Feeling everyone’s pain
It’s simple either SFP, or buy your shipping from amazon OTHERWISE amazon will not hesitate to empty those pockets of ours.
Scammers on the increase, A to Z claims increased.
We are planning on closing shop on here very soon.
The stress these P***cks give you is not worth it.
Weighing it up the other platform shop is much fairer than here when making decisions.
ALL THE BEST

I get at least one or two a day saying they have not received there order. The tracking on the 2d bar-code for Royal Mail 24 or 48 Service says the order has been delivered.
I have a case open with seller performance as I have found that Amazon do not recognise the 2d bar-code and delivery confirmation tracking as being valid tracking even though the Amazon Valid Tracking policy is that it only has to be scanned at least once by Royal Mail. Because of this, there is no update to the tracking on the order. Hence why the buyer receives an e-mail about the order.
Also Seller Fulfilled Small And light Prime is suppose to be moving to the Royal Mail 24 Service from Tracked at some point but how can this be if they currently do not recognise that service as valid tracking.
If the 2d tracking was recognised, most of the scams would decrease.

The word is getting out there that you can get freebies so ppl are joining the party
a signed delivery will protect you from A to Z claims but not from negative feedback and amazon really doesn’t like to remove those. amazon goal is to get ppl on FBA so they are not eager to protect FBM sellers

We use Click and Drop with Royal Mail 24 & 48 for a lot of our Amazon (mainly for the average weight discounts).
Over the past month we have seen a massive increase in people messaging us just saying they haven’t received their item or have received an email saying their item is delayed. After sending them a link and screenshot of the Royal Mail tracking, a fair few still insist they haven’t received their item after we send them this information. We’ll very rarely get a customer informing us that they have received their item after getting a delayed email.
I am seriously considering switching back to 1st & 2nd class (BPL) for some orders. At least then we can claim the postage costs back through Royal Mail as they currently don’t provide refunds for the 24 & 48 services.
We’re sending less and less to FBA as we’ve experienced an increase of abuse in the return system recently.
