Impossible to get seller support to resolve 5461 8040 error anyone able to help

One of our best selling Disney clothing listing with size variations become split on the Amazon system a month ago. The listing is an official Disney licensed product has been selling perfectly fine all year and we area fully licensed reseller. 1 size variation has become orphaned from the main listing. Both listings still exist and are now selling as 2 listing: the orginal with 3 sizes and the orphaned 1 size on its worn. We need to stick this back together as it is affectng the product ranking and now sales.

We have tried editing the listings (can't as we are blocked on the Disney brand 8040), uploading a variation spreadhseet with the same SKU's (blocked as we are not allowed to edit the parent ASIN 5461 ). Applied for brand authority with all correct documentation but refused and no explenation why?

We have contacted Seller support about 10 times for help and wasted around 50 hours in endles and pointless conversations going around in circles . Despite supplying all the necessary information including the actual License from Disney we are just being flicked off and told the listing, the same one that has been fine for a year, 'violates Amazon Policy'. This is nonsense as it is a fully licensed Disney product through our manfufactur and we have supplied all the required documentation and the actual license from Disney to prove this.

HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIX THIS ISSUE? Error codes are 8040 and 5461

@Julia_Amzn you asked us to tell you about these problems please can you help us. The latest Case ID is 10172204032

Sadly this just seems to be a common issue on Amazon at the moment.

I also sell Disney products and have had the same issue in the past. I end up just not buying the products again because of the time spent trying to fix the issue isn't worth the time spent.

I have said on other threads there is a serious issue with brand authorisation at the moment on Amazon, where they remove your access without knowing which usually leads to broken variants. Then you start the process of trying to fix them for weeks.

Essentially I think they want Disney themselves to actually give you brand approval on the Amazon registry, which is basically impossible because there are 100's of different license holders for different products. Explaining this to seller support is a waste of time though.

Hello @Seller_eh18p6n4mh4NW,

This is Sarah with Amazon.

Let's please continue the conversation in this other thread.

Creating duplicate threads can create confusion and disruption in the Forums and is against the Forums Guidelines.

I will be closing this thread as a duplicate of Impossible to reattach an orphaned child ASIN to parnet any ideas?

Kind regards,

Sarah.
