A little help needed please

Afternoon all,

I’ll try to keep this short and not take up too much of your time peeps.

A work injury just before Xmas has forced me to look for other income sources so thought I’d try Amazon.

I’ve joined up to Jungle Scout and gone through the courses, but i still have one (probably very simple) question.

I bought a box of brand new items through an auction site and sent to amazon to sell via FBA. This item was already for sale on Amazon and so I simply clicked the ‘have one for sale’ link. This has been accepted and is now selling.

I now want to purchase more from Alibaba and keep the inventory flowing. Do I need to set up my own product/page/listing to do this or can I just keep selling through this listing that is already there?

If i’m cheaper and annoy the person who set this up, can they kick me off the listing or delete it altogether?

I’m unsure of the correct procedure and seller etiquette.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

Chris

you need to have a read of seller university pages specifically regarding EAN numbers and Brands

if you go to alibaba and ‘copy’ these products, you are not then selling the same product - you would also need to check any trademarks and patents registered otherwise you could land yourself in hot water

To add as well, items bought off an auction site can’t be sold on amazon as new as its not a valid supply chain

And you need to be very careful with Alibaba too as many invoices are not accepted by amazon

I would consider stopping and as others stated read seller university all the way through - before you get caught out in future and then you can begin

I would not really trust any other sources other than Seller university and these forums.
Deffo listlen to The_Little_Shop

Auction sites and Allibaba can be very very dangerous and have caused seller accounts to be deactivated, as by amazon standards they are not reputable places to purchase stock from and cretainly not if selling as “New”

Also be careful of Branded items as some brands have protection on amazon, and also will almost certainly cause amazon torequest and supply official wholesale invoices from you - Not Retail Recipts [ there is a huge differance in these according to amazon]

Just to clarify as well, you say you joined just before Christmas and I notice you’ve a limited company name, did you sign up as a limited company account as normally verification takes several months rather than a couple of weeks?

From a fellow spark get on eBay as well as Amazon, you’ll do a lot better to start with. Amazon is tricky as other posters have said so you need experience, forget Ali-baba and get rich quick videos they’ll burn your fingers.

Ignore the misplaced hate for Alibaba on this forum

If you’re looking for a factory in China, it’s the biggest directory out there, but like any huge marketplace it will attract a few rogues.

Getting scammed or poor quality items on Alibaba is dependant on your due diligence and your choice of what to sell
