Saying one thing and doing another

I had an Amazon claim which was fair enough non-delivery which was a Royal mail non-delivery.

I bought my postage through Amazon

On the claim it states

Why did we grant the A-to-z guarantee claim?

The customer claimed an issue with delivery. Amazon’s A-to-z Guarantee covered the cost of this claim on your behalf because you used Amazon’s Buy Shipping and the customer issue was outside your control.

Looked at my account and I was charged for the item, contacted help and they said

A-to-z Claim Status: Granted

A-to-z Claim Reason: Package didn't arrive

Seller-funded: Feb 11

This claim is funded by you but does not impact your Order Defect Rate (ODR). It may take up to three days for the claim to be removed from your ODR.

any ideas please

As far as I know - Amazon state that while using Buy Shipping will prevent defects hitting your Order Defect Rate in the event of an A-Z Claim, you would still be liable for the monetary loss.

We're experiencing exactly the same issue with Amazon and despite escalating through Seller Support, the SAS Support we subscribe to, and our own account manager I'm yet to receive a sensible answer.

I think it's just poor language on their part and they have no intention of covering the cost.

I have this regularly, in Amazon's own policy it clearly states "You will be responsible for refunding the buyer in the event of A-Z claim for INR but if you buy your label through Amazon "buy shipping" your ODR will not be impacted.

TOTAL NONSENSE

All my labels are bought through buy shipping but they always impact my ODR, I have tried countless appeals all denied by customer services.

Beyond a joke!
