Fulfilment of ASIN
Hello guys,
Just got a question regarding sending to amazon, I have sent an item valued at £5.83 to amazon I have selected fragile/glass when sending it. Now amazon fees were 3.69 leaving me with a net loss for every unit. I have read about small and light parcels which this item is ,if next shipment I select different packaging in this case ‘‘small and light’’ will the fees drastically change for the fulfillment?
Thank you all,
Kind Regards

in that case you needed to select ‘no prep needed’ on the shipping plan

I’m presuming that you mean, it’s cost you £3.69 to send a single item into the FBA centre?
If that is the case, you need to look at the way your doing things.
What you should be doing, is sending bulk amounts in, as it reduces the cost to get there.
The actual fulfilment method, eg FBA/S&L, is charge on a per unit basis and cannot be changed. You just need to allow for this in your selling prices.
I suggest that you go look at Seller university, where this is explained for you.

If you’ve asked Amazon to prep and label the item, which it seems you did, then the fees for that add up to £1.20 including VAT assuming parcel size. The calculator wouldn’t show that fee unless you tick the right box. Could that be it?

I guess thinking about it fees for prep are billed separately, so the most likely thing is VAT on the fees which the calculator doesn’t show.

Thank you all, will try another shipment selecting different settings and see if anything changes. Once again really appreciate all the responses and will post update.
