SFP and disabling prime

Scenario. We are packing prime orders Sunday morning for our collection at 12.30pm on Sunday and we realise we have too many orders coming through to pack so Sunday morning at 8.00am we disable prime via the SFP settings. A sale from a listing that has prime shipping template (but prime badge is switched off) comes through at 8.20 am, will this order be expected to be dispatched in the 12.30pm Sunday collection if it’s none prime? We have adjusted our shipping settings for non prime orders and set weekends as non-operating days and we are hoping that we can pack this 8.20 am non-prime order on Monday.

If the order came through at 8.20, it would have been placed at 7.50 at the latest, before you turned off your prime via SFP settings. It would need to go as a Prime order on the Sunday.

others have also said that disabling prime on weekends looses the SFP status too

Disabling Prime in such a way is not recommended. There is a message at top of screen which says
Sellers will need to comply with weekend fulfillment and should not turn off or adjust their settings on the weekends to avoid Prime shipments as doing so will negatively affect their Seller Fulfilled Prime status.

If you are getting too many orders to cope you should change the Prime Order Limit per Delivery Day to a lower value. Then when this limit is reached, Prime becomes automatically disabled.

However, in answer to your question - if the order says Prime you need to dispatch it same day. If it does not then you are ok. If you disabled Prime and an order comes in later - it will only be labelled Prime if the order was placed and qualified before you changed any settings.

Agreed that operating weekends is pain, it’s harder to get staff.

Previously we had a Saturday collection which was fine, but now Amazon shipping can only accommodate a Sunday collection at 12.30 pm. We don’t want to be open on Saturday as well and it makes it tight on Sunday to pack all the Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday morning orders by 12.30.

I can restrict sales by increasing net margins on our repricer but there could be the odd time when we have to turn prime off and hence my question.
