Amazon lost my stock and won't reimburse
During Q4 I sent in a shipment of about 100 items, 10 of which were lost (one box). The items in the box had a £2.5k value on Amazon. I have proof that the box was shipped and delivered to Amazon and have sent them the proof of purchase. However, seller support have come back to me and said that because I told them the shipment total weight was 40kg when it was sent in and it turned out to be only 33kg, the discrepancy is enough for them not to reimburse me. I sometimes add on a kilo or two on boxes just to be safe, as there are no extra charges and I’d rather be in a safe margin than UPS come back and say I under weighed the parcel by 500g and now have to pay a charge (lesson learned). What can I do to get my money back?

That is messed up . How does Amazon know the weight of the missing box ? If they are comparing to the 9 boxes that they received , than surely they can see that in each of those 9 boxes the number of items that were contained in the box and the weight .
That would give them an idea of how many were actually in the missing box . It seems Amazon are looking to ways to avoid paying you .
Write to the managing director or Jeff B’s team and be concise with the story , just give the facts . Don’t ask how’s everyone doing and if they had a great holiday etc . Don’t tell them about your holiday either .
Hopefully you will get some joy

They tried this with me before Christmas…they claimed that because the carton weight was significantly lighter than the theoretical weight of the goods sent, there was no way that the goods were sent and refused to reimburse us.
I checked again and it transpired that they had changed the weight of each ASIN on seller central which accounted for the difference in weight. Witout any further argument they reimbursed me.
Good luck with it, stick to your guns.
