Creating new listings by upload?

In my attempts to be more productive I’ve been trying to use an upload feed to create new listing rather than doing them manually.

So far it’s been far from productive. The main issue I’ve had is that the upload feed just seems to ignore the images I give it.

I’'ve spoken to seller support and they keep saying “there are no images. you need to include images” so they’re as helpful as ever!

Has anyone here been able to create listing via feed? Any tips greatly appreciated.

You need to make sure that the URL you paste to the template is a direct URL to the image. Usually, it ends with *.jpg, *.png, etc.

I have my own website so usually use the link direct to the image I am using on my website. That works (usually)

However, I recently had a problem where Amazon said the image was not on a pure white background. I use images from my supplier and sure enough when I checked it was on a slightly grey background (looked white though - had to load it into a photo app to see it was pale grey not white).

Anyway I made the background pure white but then no matter what I did I could not get the new images to upload. I tried via flat file and through ‘Manage Inventory - Edit’. Amazon seemingly would accept the new image but then not update and the product stayed suppressed because it not on a white background.

Then I found that you can also upload images via ‘Catalogue - Upload Images’. When I did the new images that way they took and updated within 24 hours.

So my advice is try to use ‘Catalogue -Upload Images’ instead
