VTR help please amazon!
my VTR is sitting at 0% , i ship low value items less than £10 using amazons shipping labels 96p for a large letter .
i find it hard to believe that i’m using amazons postage via royal mail and this doesn’t count towards my VTR ?
i’ve looked at the 60 orders that are invalid and all are under £10 with dates all over the place . i am at total loss what to do as i spoke to amazon this morning and apart from not understanding a word she was telling me offered little in way of resolution of how to resolve it
fearing i get suspended sometime soon , through no fault of my own just poor seller support and amazons lack of clarity.

There is no threshold for VTR when sending orders on UK site so it doesn’t matter if they are over or under £10
Have you read the other threads ?
Seller_DROodOAYHftnc
This issue has been discussed ad nauseum on the many other threads, as affecting many of us who use buy shipping. Have you read them ?
At the moment there is still no definite answer.
It won’t count towards your VTR, it is only tracked shipments that count, they should be EXEMPT, and like many of us using Amazon’s Buy Shipping for non-tracked postage we are finding they are being classed as invalid.
This is mine, and several others experience who use buy shipping, we are being penalised for doing so.
The problem seems to be a technical issue where these non-tracked shipments are not being recognised correctly when the automatic confirm shipment is done, by Amazon.
Until Amazon sort this out I will no longer use buy shipping for any untracked orders, but go to the PO or purchase RM online labels, and confirm shipment manually.

What annoys me about VTR is how it scores automated orders sent via Buy Shipping.
Some of us have 0% VTR even when we have not manually entered a single code as it is all done via Buy Shipping.

My personal crude solutions to this mess, I am yet to pick which one I am going to do.
-
Go on Holiday settings until things are clear. (If you can afford zero sales for a while)
-
Use Amazon Buy Shipping with Hermes, (100% valid tracking… i think right?) instead of getting involved in the chaos with Royal Mail. Yes it could be more expensive for small and light items but it’s better than getting suspended I guess.
Personally I would feel very worried trying to use Royal Mail on Amazon right now, nothing is clear.

Ok, after hours of reading through posts, this is my conclusion
DO NOT USE “BUY SHIPPING”
If you use “Buy Shipping” via Amazon, the below is automatically filled in for you and is classed as “invalid” on your VTR.
Carrier: Royal Mail
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 1st Class Letter
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 2nd Class Letter
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 1st Class Large Letter
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 2nd Class Large Letter
… etc
They also put a “-“ in the tracking ID field.
This method will result I’ve INVALID on your VTR.
MANUALLY DISPATCH
If you use the manual drop downs (which actually don’t all appear if using Safari on a Mac) you need to select (or type exactly) the below information.
Carrier: Royal Mail
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 1st Class
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 2nd Class
Leave Parcel ID as blank
This is classed as EXEMPT on your VTR.
USE CLICK & DROP via “INTEGRATED”
If you use an “integrated” Click & Drop account (business or personal) and purchase ANY 1st or 2nd Class second (eg Letter, Large Letter, Small Parcel etc) the Royal Mail system automatically enters the below information (regardless of the letter/parcel size chosen).
Carrier: Royal Mail
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 1st Class
Delivery Service: Royal Mail 2nd Class
This is classed as EXEMPT on the VTR report

Email the Managing Director managingdirector@amazon.co.uk
Amazon Head Office , 60 Holborn Viaduct, Holborn, London EC1A 2FD
I have had the same terrible experience with Seller Support not giving out the proper answers and we are all in the same mess not knowing what to do .
I have provided an email address for the Managing Director mark your email PRIVATE AND CONFIDENTIAL otherwise it will get bounced back to Seller Support and also write a complaints letter to the Manager at the address provided , the more people who let him know about the attrocious seller help the better then he will have to investigate what is going on and why we arent getting any answers.
Hope that helps

So what is the consensus?
If you ship via C&D to use BPL1 and BPL2 in place of RM48/24. As it seems these services “should” be OK for VTR.
Until Amazon/RM sort out the issues with low scan rate of RM48/24 effecting teh VTR?

My deciphering of Amazon’s ridiculously confusing policy is that it is perfectly alright to continue to send by first or second class stamps but forget about having valid VTR unless you have a Royal Mail account which you can link to the Amazon version. If you send something tracked then don’t add it when filling the drop down box when posting as it is meaningless.
How this will work when someone who is not signed up to R.M and Amazon’s equivalent then gets an orders to be premium shipped i have no idea.
You really do lose the will to go on when Amazon is so ridiculous, so pernickity and so demanding .

For me the main issue is Amazon assuming that a seller can use Buy Shipping manually on their site. I mean who in their right mind would want to go into Amazon and click 3/4/5 buttons etc to ship an item, what are they thinking.

Hi, im in the same boat. I was buying normal 1st class before VTR. Then I switched to 2nd recorded large letter, but bought from Post Office as I dont have RM account. I have sent 50 or so orders this way yet not one has counted in VTR. So today I bought 2nd recorded large letter through Amazon and will wait until tomorrow to see if it shows but somehow I dont think it will either.
