Amazon Policy on buyer claims of non-receipt of tracked item
When a buyer claims (via A-Z claim) an item was not received but tracking shows it WAS received on tiime, Amazon policy used to be that they would fund the refund if the postage was purchased thru Amazon (or VEEQO).
Now I have a case where they denied my appeal even though I provided all the requested backup.
Have they changed their policy to fund the refund only of the item was signed for by the buyer?

The ONLY consistency on Amazon is the INconsistency on everything.
I don't have a solution for Amazon allowing theft and fraud BUT if this was shipped using the USPS please report the issue to the Postal Inspectors as mail fraud.
ALSO the Government has a site IC3 (Amazon will remove the link if I put it here) where you can report the use of the internet for theft if it was UPS, FedEx or whatever. It is generally used to report on websites but it can be used to report buyers as well if you happen to encounter one of the Amazon scam crowd.
In all cases it at least puts the con artists into a data base for future reference by the authorities.
There's an OLD saying -- If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem.
PLEASE REPORT, REPORT, REPORT, REPORT.

In addition to purchasing the postage through Amazon, the shipment must also have a real scan (not the "carrier picked up package" that Amazon generates, nor a scan sheet) no later than the "Ship By" date. If your post office doesn't scan your item until the next day, you're not covered, even if you physically turned the package over to them on time.

In addition to Nisha's reply above (thank you!) if your order fits the criteria I'd be happy to look at a case and escalate if needed if you share the case ID here.
