Amazon Compliance Requirements
Hi,
So I have started selling an electrolyte product on amazon and part of the compliance requirements are to submit a GFSI certificate to show the product is being manufactured in a food safe environment. I have submitted this and unfortunately amazon keep on rejecting it on the grounds that "they have noticed a discrepancy between the [scope] from the [GFSI- Certificate] and the product". I have contacted seller support multiple times for help and each time they have forwarded my issue to the compliance team who have come back saying the exact same thing. I am just looking for a bit more clarity on what exactly I can do to try and resolve this issue as Amazon have not been at all helpful in giving any guidance on this issue.
The scope of the GFSI- Certificate I have uploaded states: "The preparation, mixing, blending, spray drying and agglomeration (where required) of colours, flavours and food ingredients, packed into food grade plastic liners in boxes and lined sacks".
I would really appreciate any help on this matter!

Is your item a finished product for consumption or is it a "colour, flavour or a food ingredient"?
Is it packed " into food grade plastic liners in boxes and lined sacks"?

The scope is not sufficient as it does not include finished product for consumption.
This is my opinion as an ex-Technical Manager in various food manufacturing companies and having carried out many GFSI audits.
Also, you didn't reply regarding packaging. Again, I believe that unless the packaging used for your product is covered by the " into food grade plastic liners in boxes and lined sacks" statement, then again, the scope does not cover your product.
Having the correct scope is crucial as this is what the official GFSI audit was carried out against. If a manufacturer develops and starts manufacturing a new product outside the scope, it is not covered by the certification as there may have been additional requirements that the audit would cover for those products.
