IOSS not being respected and INR's in the EU

Good Evening

Has anyone noticed a resurgence of EU post offices not respecting the the fact that the duties have already been collected via IOSS recently? And on top of that the delivery times via RM / EU partners seems to be tardy as hell.

We are getting international returns where people dont collect and I can see references for VAT to be paid + admin fees… even though its all been done electronically ( unless RM have screwed up )

Ireland and Italy seem to be the most problematic and we may have to stop selling to them soon if this continues… although I got one back from Germany today.

Finally - All the RM DW1’s do have a bar code - Ive noticed sometimes the tracking is available. Has anyone found a route within RM to demand to see the tracking?

No issues lately we do still get occasional rejections in Ireland but very small maybe one every few weeks

Delivery dates are fairly normal too

The only thing we may be doing different is we use the shipping API and not click and drop

For DW1 tracking haven’t tried it… will have to give it a go

Had a buyer in France today message saying they were charged 22euro to “release” the parcel. We send quite a bit to the EU and have had no recent issues, hopefully this isn’t the start of it all again.

We’ve not had an issue for nearly a year now until last week someone told us they were asked to pay duties to release a parcel sent for an ebay sale. That was in Italy. Never saw proof that they were asked to pay it though, and didn’t hear back from them once I explained the IOSS system to them, and advised them to claim back the fees.

I assume that they were charged in error but assumed it was a one off error.

We had another French one tonight. For sure - something has changed. Perhaps RM isn’t passing the details across properly. Ive asked them - but no response yet.

We’ve had quite a few for orders 2/3 May. I would guess RM messed up.
