Amazon Referral Fee

Hi all,
Would there be any instance where Amazon would not charge a Referral fee? just I had thought it would be applied on each sale, but ive had a few recently where only the FBA fee has been applied.

MCF sales have no referral fee. Someone recently mentioned Amazon were running some kind of promotion where the referral fee was being waived for the beginning of the month for some sellers. Can’t say I have seen that confirmed anywhere by Amazon but I haven’t really looked.
