Stupid Mistake, Wrong Courier Info
Total newbie here and I’ve made a blunder.
I listed my first product and posted the link onto a local Facebook group and I picked up a few sales. I decided to deliver by hand as they were all in my town. I couldn’t find an option to do that so in a moment of complete stupidity I marked them as being sent via DHL instead. I didn’t realise that this meant that they’d never show as being delivered. What can I do? Anything?

Hi it will show in customers app but only after the delivery deadline however it won’t show as valid tracking the only thing is change it to other courier and put in a courier which is not supported by amazon such as APC, this will not show as valid tracking either or update as delivered until after the deadline date but it may show a little different in the customers app.
As I’m sure your aware ow you can’t deliver customers orders that buy things from you on amazon.

I am seeing up to 7 days delivery at the moment on RM 24, so I may give Hermes a try. Thanks.

Actually, I have noticed recently that there is now an option for “Self Delivery” in the drop down list of couriers. So you could use this.
However, the disadvantage is that there is simply no tracking information.
This means that people can actually claim none delivery and quite easily win an A-Z case.
Obviously, if you make it clear when dropping things off that you are the seller and not just a delivery driver, you will reduce that risk.
But overall, it’s not something your going to be able to continue to do so would recommend that you look at a proper courier in the future.
