Funko EC Declaration of Conformity
Hi Guys,
I’m either going blind or my Google skills are not on form today. But does anyone have a copy of the Declaration of Conformity for Funko products?
I’ve dropped my supplier (Ocio) and Funko directly for a copy but that could take a while to get. Thought it would be on the corporate website but know such luck.
Just don’t want my listings taking down at such a key time of year.
Any help would be appreciated.
Andy

Hi All,
I’m a little confused now. I’ve spoken with my supplier who is an authorised Funko supplier and how I got approved to sell Funko on Amazon.
They have advised that Amazon shouldn’t require me to supply the Declaration of Conformity as I am not the manufacturer. They also advised that Amazon already have this documentation for Funko products so again shouldn’t be requesting it from a reseller.
All sounds great but how do I convince Amazon they already have this information and I don’t have it because I am not the maker of Funko. Same as they are not the maker of Funko but sell thousands of them.
I have messaged them but I don’t think they understand, or I don’t understand.
Any advice would be appreciated. Sadly Funko are not an easy company to deal with so getting the info from Funko will be difficult.
Thanks
Andy

You need to get your own, official. declaration of conformity. Seriously???

I think selling Funko on Amazon is somewhat risky if doing it via FBA.
Given that their products are predominantly collectables, you’re incumbered by the need to ensure that their boxes maintain their undamaged condition and I just don’t think Amazon FBA is the best place for items that lose a lot of their value if the outer packaging is damaged, especially given how they handle some of the items.

Hi All,
Well I managed to get a few of the DoC’s out of Funko which was a relief.
As I also buy a lot of stock from Amazon.com I reached out to Amazon for copies of the DoC’s for this stock and I must say they really helped and pulled together the documents for me in just over a week.
Issue is, all the Amazon supplied ones do not conform to Amazon’s requirements and would be rejected if sent in for approval. I have messaged back my concern and await a response.

Just to add to my misery, Amazon have decided that they are going to start sending out Funko in a brown paper bag instead of a box.
You won’t be surprised to hear that most of them are coming back damged.

Is anyone having any joy with Funko DOCs?
They keep getting rejected as they are missing the job role of the signatory.

Has anyone heard anything from Funko about appointing an EU responsible person?
I have looked at a number of the figures that have been released in the past month and they still have the UK address on the packaging for Europe.
It is unbelievable that they have not started printing an EU address. There is going to be a lot of product that can not be sold in the EU in a few months.
