SAFE-T declined as order delivered late
So here is the situation - customer buys Prime item, we send item on time by RM Tracked 24. The item is delivered two days late but buyer got a refund day before delivery from Amazon Customer Services.
I filed SAFE-T claim, stating buyer had received item, Amazon Customer Services had refunded and we’d not had the item returned to us.
Amazon has declined the SAFE-T giving the reason the item was not delivered on time.
I have appealed this, for as far as I can tell the refund is eligible for SAFE-T. I have found nothing in the SAFE-T to suggest the item being delivered late should mean the claim is declined.
As consumer law would suggest returnless refunds are optional it would seem Amazon has decided to refund this order at their discression. In such a case SAFE-T is there to protect sellers when Amazon decides not refund of their own accord, outside of consumer law.
Every previous SAFE-T claim I have filed for the same reason has been granted in the past. I haven’t seen any published changes.
Has anyone else experienced this? If so did you appeal and how successful were you?

I’m imagining someone else must have come across this. Any help very well received!

Well technically the claim wasn’t order delivered late, they filed the claim before it was delivered, AND it was late…

was the label scanned on the dispatch by date ? if so then it should be eligible for reimbursement
