Child Listings Disconnected from Parent on HUNDREDS of ASINs
Hi all,
I sell primarily in footwear, and roughly 20 hours ago (so around 9:30PM Eastern, 3/20) hundreds of my child ASINs became “split” or “disconnected” from their parent listings and are now floating out in cyberspace as single size ASINs.
So, for example:
Footwear Model A, 4 colors, 10 sizes per color. Used to be all one, 40-variation listing. Now seemingly overnight this has become 40 different listings.
Additionally, there are several MASSIVELY bloated listings that have resulted (talking 500 different shoe models/colors and no correlation.)
I am not here to point fingers, rather to bring attention to this issue and ask if any of you all selling in other categories are seeing similar issues. A similar occurrence happened in November 2024 and eventually fixed itself after a week or two, leading me to believe this was all due to Amazon’s AI/bot systems. Nothing was search suppressed, just simply child listings disconnected from parents. I wish there was an easy fix to this, but as always it is difficult to reattach child listings.
I would be happy to provide examples of the problem ASINs to mods if asked privately, but for privacy reasons I would rather not post those here publicly.
Best regards & hope we can find a solution to this,
D

@Seller_zccsYVqRXvuLJ We face similar issue, the child listing had been disconnected from its parent listing automatically again and again, by the automated systems. Have you solved it? and how is the mode? Would do you please share us your process on the issue?
