Read onlyGot the message below, Im a new sellers and thought if you buy the product you can list on a already listings.
Seller message below says he will report my account to Amazon for because its a private protected listings.
I looked on google and there is something I read where the brand is there's and isn't mine.
Just to clarify this isnt there product its bought from a shop, theres no trademarks.
So can I list it under this listing or not?
Could be private label brand registered seller, as far as I see this is not a registered trademark by IPO search on this brand: UrbanGrind.
If they are a brand approved and brand registered seller, he is right, you can get infringement on your account if they report you (they will, as they said). But in this case, never know.
Btw, If I am right, texting to other seller on a listing against Amazon policy. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
You can't just list whatever product on whatever listing. You have to be careful as this action can lead you to suspended account or even worse. You have to do a bit more research before starting selling on Amazon. Search “Brand registry” etc. Happy new year!
As above reply, you cannot just list against any listing - you really should use the barcode on the item. Also, many sellers have created their own brand for already branded goods (sellers even re-brand well known brands as their own - which personally I believe is wrong, but Amazon created this !!) - see Amazon's brand registry, which is where you can get the infringement notice.
Also, you say this was bought from a shop - that is a sure way of getting your account deactivated too - retail arbitrage is not the best model for selling on Amazon - as if and when Amazon do ask for proper invoices, you will only have shop receipts which they will probably not accept. You need to buy from established warehouses/suppliers.
A quick google search shows the product you name as available in B&M Bargains for £2 if your business model is buying from B&M and sending into Amazon you're going to come unstuck sooner or later whether the other seller has in anyway protected the listing or not as you don't have a valid supply chain.
The manufacturer will be detailed on the box, you need to be buying from them rather than any retailer then listing on Amazon with approval from the brand/manufacturer which will often involve creating your own listing. You may find the brand/manufacturer has given Amazon selling rights to your competitor.
You cannot buy from a retail shop & list the item as New
I strongly advise you to get off that listing immediatly.
