VTR Metric Help
VTR MADNESS!
Trying to resolve matters / concerns with Amazon seller "support" is like pulling teeth and getting absolutely no resolution whatsoever, instead they open a case, 100 people transfer it to every other department then eventually one person replies that has absolutely nothing to do with my actual initial question and then they close the case.
So... my VTR metrics are now dangerously high and I'm trying to figure out how i should be confirming my shipments so that Amazon know to exempt them from my VTR metrics.
So following Amazons own guidance:
“All cross-border shipments will be included in VTR calculation, unless the order value is below €20 (including shipping, excluding VAT) and a ‘letter’ ship method was used.”
We ship from the UK to Europe, with Germany & France being our biggest marketplaces after the UK.
1. 99.9% of the order values for my items sold is well under €20
We used Royal Mail (standard letter services) & Standard international
There is no point in us purchasing tracking for the items we sell as customers just wont pay higher postage costs as they will outweigh the item cost, therefore we will make no sales at all. How on earth do i get round this?
I feel i am about to lose my amazon business that we have run successfully for over 10 years and not one person that works for amazon cares or can help.
Any guidance would be much appreciated on how i can work around this
Thank you in advance

"... my VTR metrics are now dangerously high"
Maybe I am misunderstanding, but if they are HIGH then that is fine. It is when they are low that there is a problem ?!

We're in the same boat, nobody at Amazon can provide any workable suggestion to identify letters from anything else. We've been on a merry-go-round with Seller Support for months over this.
Poor policy, poorly implemented but no doubt suspensions will be incoming.

In the same situation with performance notifications in FR, DE, IT & ES. All orders under €20 Euros.
Seller Support replies are nonsensical. The Account Health team agreed that they should not be defects based on the policy clearly stating orders under €20 do not require tracking. Using Royal Mail large letter services (DG4 and standard international (DW1).
All our large letters have 'letter' in the service description field and are under €20
We are going to stop ordering stock as we will soon lack any ability to sell into the EU unless over €20 Euros and tracked. Will be full suspension from all cross border trade to Europe from the UK. Our company of 20 years goes under.
Cannot get any support from Amazon - insanity.

Hello @Seller_uqK7Bb8KEBr1j,
This is Abella from Amazon to assist you.
From the above post I understand that you are concerned about Low VTR.
Thank you so much for letting us know that you are using Royal Mail (standard letter services) & Standard international and 99.9% of the order values were under €20.
Royal Mail:
What is the application of exemption for Royal Mail ship methods?
Fully untracked letter or stamps services do not receive a delivery confirmation scan and will only be exempted if bought through Buy Shipping. Other services that offer a delivery confirmation scan or full tracking may be bought via Royal Mail or via Buy Shipping. However, if a delivery confirmation scan is not provided, this order will only be exempted if the shipping label was bought through Buy Shipping.
You can link your Royal Mail Online Business account (OBA) to Seller Central to receive your own personalized rates by going to Settings > > > Account info > Shipping and returns information > Buy delivery preferences > Manage your carrier accounts > Europe > Link account
Settings > Account info > Shipping and returns information > Buy delivery preferences > Manage your carrier accounts > Europe > Link account. When using your carrier account through Buy Shipping, you receive all associated benefits of Buy Shipping and would still manage invoicing, payments and claims through your Royal Mail OBA as usual.
I just need a couple of quick details to provide you with the most accurate assistance. Could you please let me know which carrier you selected for these orders and whether you purchased the shipping through our Buy Shipping option? Once you share these details, I'll be able to guide you with the best possible solution.
Looking forward to your response! You can refer the help page here.
If you need any further assistance, you can post here so that we or any of the sellers on forum can help you.
Regards,
Abella.
