Have I just been scammed?

So some of you helped me last time with a ‘website information is inaccurate’ topic I posted, I’ve now received the return, the return is no where near the same as I sent out, it is completely incorrect. I have messaged the buyer stating I need the item that I sent out to be returned so I can issue a refund, not a different set of items.
Basically I make every pack the same I sent out 4 shiny pokemon cards, 21 pokemon trainer cards and 50 random pokemon cards. What I’ve received back are 50 pokemon energy cards, 20 pokemon trainer cards 5 pokemon character cards.
They’ve obviously done an item switch im sure I’ve been had with this

do you photograph each order’s contents before despatch?

Inform the buyer (politely) that the returned item is not yours and they can collect it or have sent it back and you are still waiting for the original to be returned item before the order will be refunded.

Also, try to open a case with SS and attach pictures of returned cards so you can refer to the case number when appealing to A to Z (which is presumably coming soon).

Chances to win are very low, but I do not think so there is anything more you can do.

This is a not uncommon occurrence - just check out the forum.
Customers sending back their own old/damaged electronic items, worn clothing and so on.
Seems to be an increasing lack of any conscience these days amongst some people.

I’ve popped through a refund. My message to her shouod show I know what they’re up to. I just won’t ship to them in the future to be safe.

Why do it to independent sellers though? Amazon sell pokemon cards do it to the actual multinational corporation instead of Joe Bloggs

More and more scammers to destroy the sellers on Amazon

I’ve had this concern too, is there a way we can have FBA returns come directly too us instead of going back into stock? As Amazon wont know the difference between the correct 50 cards, and 50 junk that is going to result in another customer being upset.

This is a big problem across Pokemon, not just for the bundles you’re talking about but sealed product as well.

Customers (scammers) are easily able to buy a sealed booster box of 36 packs, open them, reseal them as shockingly as they wish removing the good cards, and send them back. As you’ve found out they can do exactly the same thing with bundles. They return them and then the garbage ends up being shipped to the next customer. So I guess you don’t actually know if this particular customer is the person thats replaced the cards or a person before them thats filed a return. This is assuming your using FBA.

Solution: Theres isn’t really one. Just hope to avoid it.

You’ll also get people that buy packs, and if they get no pulls they will just file an authenticity claim to get a refund and Amazon will start requesting all your documents. You’ll be able to keep selling but don’t expect to see your money back.

Who to blame, Amazon or the scammers.

I should add, 21 trainer cards in a 75 card bundle is very high.
